Home refresh in Fairfield County Decluttering, Organizing, Redesigning and Styling Sustainably!

My passion for the planet drives all my design decisions and allows me to help clients de-clutter, re-style and re-design with a clear conscience. Donating, selling, recycling, re-purposing, and reusing as much as possible. This will help you minimize the chaos in your home AND the negative impact getting there has on the environment.

Start at the beginning!

If you feel like your home needs some updating or refreshing, sometimes all you need is a new set of eyes (and ears)! If you have been looking at and living in a space for years, it can become very difficult to see the solutions and potential positive changes you could make. Invite a friend or hire a pro to honestly assess what THEY see when they enter your space and what changes they would make right off the bat. You will be very surprised at how simple the solutions just might be!

Organizing and Styling Clutter is Futile

It might look lovely for a day or a week but until you remove all the stuff you don't need there is no way you can create your dream spaces and the systems to keep them the way you want them. We all have too much stuff. Every single one of us. The only way to create the inviting, relaxing beautiful home of your dreams is to let some of it go (and stop buying more).

Repurpose, Sell, Donate, Recycle and Toss

Take the time to do it right. A dumpster is not the answer because our landfills are already way too full. It may feel good in the moment but you know you can do better. One man's trash is another man's treasure has never been more true! Honestly assess what you have and no longer use and if it is in good condition find out who might need it. There are countless charities out there helping get your unwanted stuff to those folks. If you think your stuff has value then by all means try and sell it! The chair that is currently blocking the pathway from your dining room to your living room might make a great reading chair in a guest bedroom and can be repurposed! Some stuff is truly just junk and needs to be tossed but avoid the landfill until you have exhausted all other options.
